Ain't This Some Bullshit?

In 1990, Robert Kosilek killed his wife Cheryl after she had spilt hot tea on his genitals. He strangled her and drove her body to a local mall and then disappeared. He is presently serving a life sentence for her murder. In 1993, he decided that he was a woman trapped in a man's body and petitioned the court to have sex reassignment surgery at the tax payers expense. His court case continues to be ongoing. He has now petitioned the court to have tax payers pay for electroyisis because he has stress when he looks in the mirror and see hair growth.

This is very much the same as a prisoner demanding a nose job because he hates his nose and is in mental torment over it. Prison does provide counseling and some medications for mental health issues - as it should - and this guy should be afforded that kind of care, but not other expensive treatments. People fall all over themselves trying to be sensitve & PC when it has anything to do with sex, gender, preference. It's the same idea as why Xtians harp on gays & disregard other "sins" (sick)

By imprisoning the individual the government has taken responsibility for him. They are responsible for feeding and clothing him for example. The question is to what extent is sex reassignment surgery necessary to his well being. The Government of Canada has payed for soldiers to have sex reassignment surgery. The issue is controversial but like cancer treatment it if is necessary to his well being the government is required to pay for it.

yea i get what ur sayin bout it goin deeper, bt lookin at it objectively i dont think theres too much difference.

its a bit of a separate issue to what ur video was about, bt i think that if someone has a male body bt female mind, theyre a woman. i completely understand them wantin the surgery, bt thats cosmetic imo.

many fat ppl feel trapped in their body n i dont really see the difference.

well I think it may go deeper than that. Some people do feel tortured feeling they are in the wrong body. I just think as a prisoner, he has forfieted his right to have this surgery paid for by tax payers.

This has nothing to do with the issue of gender reassignment. I'm open to it and I think people should be allowed to do as they please in that regard - IF they are FREE members of society. I've known several transgendered people. Some really seemed right - others were mistakes - the issue of gender ID is only a facet of a person's mental health issues. Some look to it as a cure for all and then discover that it was magical thinking and their life is no less tormented - still more to come...
