  • i'm sure this has been said many times, but i'd just like to say that it's very easy to cheer on efren reyes. couldn't have a better person to become a top champion. he's such a positive example to other filipinos and the whole world. humble, cool, calm, and at peace.

  • this is a nice tribute to the greatest pool player ever

  • @winterguitarking possibly the only man to humiliate reyes that much..but when we talk of achievements..efren ruled for almost 3 decades..being not just 9-ball champ but all around greatest.

  • 1 of the best moment in his career

  • @crazyyankyisback you said not by a long shot? the comment which you replied said HISTORY OF POOL, which is the past.. so its true greatest player in the history of pool, not till another player surpass Reyes' achieved.

  • "Buddy Hall is the Greatest Nine Ball Champion of All Times. He defeated Efren Reyes 10 out of the first 11 times they played back in the 80's. After a Tournament at Red's in Houston. Buddy Hall played Efren 10 ball for 10,000, 10 ahead, it went something like this Efren won the first 3 games, missed a shot,Buddy Hall ran out the session after that Efren didn't want to play Buddy anymore for the cash. Buddy Hall won the biggest Hardtimes tournaments ever held 3 times, no player one won it twice.

  • Efren IS the greatest, and yes the most humble champion this sport has ever witnessed! I see him every year when he comes to the USA. After stepping off the plane from P.I. he stops by Hardtimes Bellflower to practice, interact with serious players and tease all the road players by gratiously obliging them by gambling with them over short sets of 9-ball or one pocket. 15 years now, and he still always wins!

  • The scary thing about Efren Reyes is that he's already 45 yrs old when he won the 1999 WPC in Cardiff and yet he already considers himself "over the hill" since he said that his prime was back when he was in his early 20s. Nine ball isn't even his best game since he considers Balkline & Rotation as his forte and eversince at the Derby City Classic he's been the best all around player several years running. And when you realize that he plays even better in the backrooms really boggles the mind.

  • wait a tick he said the greatest player in the HISTORY OF POOL thats very inacurant ,good yes great player even but ,not in the history no by a long shot no way..

  • @jstyiezp all his (Bata's) contemporaries have long been retired like strickland, varner, etc.. but Bata's still plays competitive billiards today. truly a legend

  • @Nicktyw

    Alex "The Lion" Pagulayan.

  • You are a a**hole. is there any rule that you cant dance when you win.. Like any other people .. You cant really understand when a player is a great one.. its not all about winning .. Its about sportsmanship and be humble all the time . he won a lot of championship on 90's and its true that he have a bad sight right now and planning to retire.. Just watch his classics games so that you will know who is the real magician.. Efren "bata" Reyes..
