Despite the brilliance of Steve Jansen's drumming, I think this track is better without any. The drums just seem to detract from the eerie ambience of the original & other versions I've heard Sylvian perform post Japan. It's almost as if it was a case of; well Steve's here, I might as well use him! Very good version of Fire in the forest from the slowburning but ultimately superb Blemish album. I implore all of you who dismissed it after 1 listen to give it another 4 or 5. It's truly worthwhile.

I was in this Hong Kong concert. Now see this superb live interpretation again, I love the percussion especially. His music is brilliant ! Thanks for this video.
