  • Dont let your personal political views to alterate history. In Gialta, 1944, Churchil and Stalin divided Europe. Greece came under british "authority"...so Stalin didnt help the communists in the civil war, if he did that, maybe we had a fascist communist government, like albania, even the Center of Papandreou would be in the goulags. Both extremes are bad.

  • @dkace2 you really have a grudge against right wing and the eventual democracies it has created, such as the E.U. and North America. I don't quite understand your position? The right wing of Greece was fighting a war against the left wing. I am very happy the right wing was victorious, because that allowed Greece to develop into the democracy we have today. The communists were dangerous and a victory by the communists would have left Greece in the same bad shape as Bulgaria or Yugoslavia today.

  • it is not so bad. the EU is doing Greece a favour, because the condition to the Greek government for loan is no more stealing(corruption) and no more big payments to government workers. Now Greece must learn to do there own business to make money - no more easy money. Greece is better off now, because the government can no longer steal and give free money. Greek workers must produce to live. I am Greek too. Independence is Greek dream and that what we have now. We must learn to produce to live.

  • @Tarapsa are u greek? because i am too, look ofcourse its nice to getr money from eu huh? but the truth is they know we cannot pay back so why would they give it? i tell u they give because when greec is bankrupt they all gonna get a piece of greecwe according to what the lend to the greek goverment/people and all other malakes ,traitors and fuckheads and then u and i will not live in greece no more but in germany or maybe turkey if they sell to them

  • @chrysabra Greek government been borrowing over the years (since the 1980s) to pay government salaries and pensions. We, Greece, are now in position that we cannot borrow anymore to pay the government workers. Greece does not have to take money from the IMF, but that would mean that all Government workers lose their jobs and that pension payments are cut. Greek voters and politicians choose to borrow. I am happy E.U. has decided to give Greece money to keep paying the government workers.

  • @Tarapsa o yes? and now we are worse then bulgaria aint it? we are at the imf we have dept of 400 biljon dollars or euros. wake up greece was one of the victorious after ww2 . we could have a piece of germany for all of the debt they had to us they have a dept of 50 biljon dollars to greece coz they lended money. but they gave the greeks money ,weapons and divided them so thay can rule them. now greece is gonna be divided again by all the asshole that want a piece of it and we have dept to

  • @Tarapsa Of course! Killing thousands, banning millions, executing and suppressing the Socialists and the Communists evolved in something ...good!You are as rotten as the system you are trying to defend! Only you came 50 years later than the original defenders! You are accusing Socialism for oppression, and you are defending the 58 greek political prisoners camps in the '50s, the greek junta in the '60's-'70's, the enerations of oppression on greek families, for a pure fascist "is something good'!

  • @dkace2 yes there were injustices in the right wing countries of Truman and Churchill but they evolve into somehting good. The Communist states died because they were evil in design and because did not respect human rights. You can criticise USA for many wrongs but U.S. and E.U. systems are by far the lesser evils. The BIGGEST evils in human history is Communism and Islam. Don't be a communist suporter or Islam supporter in my opinion.

  • @Tarapsa Yes, you are right! Compare today's Capitalist Greece with today's capitalist protectorates! Of course! But your bullshit logic, don't hold water, if you compare Socialist States with Capitalist ones! And really, who told you that they were "police states?" Did Goebels? Churchil? Truman? Of course! Those that put up dictatorships all over the world, accused the FREE states of the Working Class as ...police States! Keep bullshiting, you may eat the leftovers!

  • @dkace2 don't make me laugh with your bullshit comment. You should have lived in the communist bloc during the cold war. The communist east europe were police states that punished and supressed people for any reason. Communism is a disaster, just compare Greece to Albania, Bulgaria and former Yugoslavia? Who is better off? By far Greece. If you don't agree go live in North Korea, the last stand for the Communist evil. Regards.

  • When Channel 4 tried to distribute this film it was denounced as "one-sided" because it actually included the resistance fighters' point of view. To avoid being "one-sided", you have to show only the approved side of the US/British governments and their right-wing puppets.
