  • Where did you get the gear boxes?

  • @Coboxite

ApexDynamicsUSA talk to John Keskes about your needs,

Tell him where you saw their gearboxes, and if you find one you like in the AE series ""Ask for the robot combat discount!!!""

  • I have a question. Why do you use two Victors per motor?

  • @kkeerroo the S28-400 motor under load can easily pull 200 amps and 2 IFI Thors (now called VEX Victor 885)

was lighter and have a smaller foot print in the bot than an Ampflow or Vantec ESC.

  • @mattmaxsr

    Thanks.

Is it one IFI per pole of the motor? I'm not an electronics person

  • @kkeerroo Either am I, But a 2pole motor has 2 wires usually one positive and one negative. The mag is a 4pole motor with 2 red (positive) and 2black (negative)wires. I split them and run one red and one black to each Thor (Victor 885)

  • hello I have a two ampflow A28-400 which I recommend Planetary Gearbox

  • hey matt you know you are a great role model 4 us, hopefully my robot will kick butt at the combots cup (once its built)!

  • you very well explained most of the insides but what about the flame thrower?

  • Magmotors are great, nice choice

  • Thanks for the video!

What are you using as a remote valve for the flamethrower? Is it just a 24v pneumatic solenoid our is it something more specialized?

Thanks again and keep up the great work!!!
