@Winkiedoodles Haha, not bad, not bad. Luckily down here in the South of Dutchieland, we don't cough up furballs when we pronounce the letter "G". ;)
-
@Dawntje You forget I worked with the Dutch Air Force for three years just across the border from Enschede. I think "Kortpoot" sounds just like it is spelled. "Mug" would be more like "mucghhh." How did I do?
-
@Winkiedoodles You shouldn't always trust online translators. ;)
Also, I'd like to see you pronounce "Kortpootmug". Dutch is such a weird-sounding language...
-
@Dawntje OK, sure. When I put "short" in the translator it came up Plotseling. "Short" can also have a meaning of "sudden" in English! So, Kortpootmug it is! :)
-
@Winkiedoodles Haha... Plotselingpootmug would mean "sudden-leg mosquito". ;)
It'd be "Kortpootmug" for short legged mosquito. :)
Have a great day too!

@Dawntje Oh, my, I wish I had known how to say Langpootmug before we got our Yorkshire Terrier! Would Plotselingpootmug (short legged mosquito) have been a good name for her? lol Have a great day; hi to Cosmo.
-
@Winkiedoodles We've always called them Daddy long-legs here. Or langpootmug (long-legged mosquito) in Dutch. He didn't manage to catch it, no. It kept hiding from him on the ceiling. XD

I think that was one of those "mosquito catchers". It looked like it had wings and Daddy Long Legs don't. Did Cosmo ever catch it?
Silly Youtube, posting my reply over and over...
