@reenascha Yep. These babies have had months of lessons and training, they're not just thrown in the deep end, so to speak. There is a right and wrong way to teach baby swim classes, this program is one of the best in Australia, if not the world.

@mikaelhanna Very understandable fear. This might help. The babies you see have practised a previous step before being under the water. They learn breath control. IE Before being put under water a quick breath is blown into the baby's face and the word under is used

@mikaelhanna This triggers a reflex for the baby to hold it's breath and get used to being submerged. Once this can be done , under can just be used and the blowing in the face can stop. , a small baby is capable of knowing to hold breath when that word is used. If done with an instructor this is not dangerous. After breath control is good the reflex of kicking to turn over is worked on. all babies have this reflex too.

i dont think i would ever do that to my baby, i would be scared to death that he might choke or something.. maybe if i had some expert guy that knws what he is doing yeah but still i dont knw..looks risky but i enjoyed waching it it was cool :)
