If spending were cut and waste and fraud managed, we wouldn't need to raise taxes.

However most people wouldn't mind paying taxes IF the government didn't waste it!!! Everyone should pay some taxes IF they live in America. EVERYONE!!

@lambsquad17 Oh hell no, in this generation a lot of "poor people" have flat screen Tv's, computers, a car, food on the table, a cell phone, and a roof over their head. Now Americas definition of being poor is driving a 1993 Ford Taurus in the year 2012 and having a low paying job. That's not poor, to me being poor is being homeless living on the streets. I'm not going to pay more taxes because somebody that drives a Ford Taurus isn't happy and wants to drive a BMW...

I wouldn't brag about the failed union led governnment indoctrination centers, as they are an obvious fail. We have NO leaders coming from public education. Only a bunch of kids who are undereducated and are unable to compete.

@TheYoungTurdz if there were no government, we would have no roads, no minimum wage, terrible working conditions, no public schools (which by the way are there so people who don't want to be brainwashed by religion or can't afford to otherwise because they already PAY TAXES), no infrastructure, basically nothing would ever get done. you yourself are dependent on the government. and you know, judging by your answers, see next comment...
