So what is a sequential pattern, and how does it help you to rock? Well, it's simply a "fake" scale made up of repeating the same fret pattern on each string.....Two very well known exponents of the sequential pattern scale are Eddie Van Halen and Dimebag Darrell.

  • @TheJazzguitarfreak Thanks man! Yeah.. I don't really know much about scales.. I won't lie.. lol.. I don't read music or anything either.. I just play a little.. I only called this a "Symmetrical scale" because I've been hearing alot of other people call this type of thing that so.. Thanks for the heads up though!! I'll change the description asap! Thanks for the add too!!

  • hey, good playing. that's not a symmetrical scale though. that's actually considered a rhythmic motif, or a sequential pattern. there are symmetrical scales which include the wholetone scale, the diminished scale, and the augmented scale. keep on shredding.
