Actually, the P-43 Lancer is the direct predecessor of the P-47. The Seversky AT-12 is the predecessor of the P-35.
So: AT-12 --> P-35 --> P-43 --> P-47. :)

This aircraft is not a japp survivor.
It was orderd by the swedish airforce as a Divebomber/lightbomber ,52 was orderd but only 2 was deliverd the rest stayed in US as trainers .

My previous, erroneous comment as to the engine type has been deleted. As juzzi07 says below, the engine is a Pratt & Whitney R-1830.
