@MrTpengineer Yeah, luckily it got the xbox and not my computer because it was all hooked up through a ethernet wired network and it actually burned the port out that the xbox was connected to on the hub if memory serves. Surge protectors will work good for the power part but for the ethernet port I now go wireless on my 360, ps3, and wii so I don't have to worry about that part now.
@matt78tv lol yea, kind of like what happened to us, lightning struck melting the cable line up to a t-splitter that wasn't grounded, we were lucky that everything hooked up to it worked :)

Lightning probebly efected your xbox because it's more sensitive to voltage spikes rather than the other equipment?
