They seemed to lose the sense for beautiful songs and melodies and just want to make music ' for freaks'. Sadly, a lot can be credited to Jordan Rudess, who is an extremely talented keyboard player, but less a team player like Derek Sherinian, who I liked much more. This album is in my opinion one of his best for the good, extremely well-played and accessible songs on it.
That's a damn good Petrucci solo. Has a good melody, rhythmic variation, directions, and is the fluid smooth solo we've come to know JP by. Oh where Oh where has his playing gone nowadays?
