Aaton's Martine Bianco talks about the new Penelope Delta camera. It will capture beyond 4K in uncompressed RAW DPX format to inexpensive 2.5 SATA raid drives. For off-lining, a push in SDHC card simultaneously records DNxHD-36 for instant Avid editing. Too bad its not ProRes for the FCP editors.
When Im shooting, one thing that drives me nuts it going from bright exteriors to low light inside. The standard solution is to add stacks of neutral density filters and then take them off. Not so with Penelope-Δ. Behind the lens is a custom CCD sensor from Dalsa that can drop from 800 ASA to 100. More at dv.com http://www.dv.com/article/95064
This camera is a whole man amongst boys...LoL..

Great to see the Penelope D coming along. So far the 2-perf features filmed with it are looking great too. (I didn't know Aaton was producing a "video" version of this too, wink wink to the interviewer!) Hope to see more videos and marketing from the NAB floor.

Didn't the SR series of cameras have a 3rd party digital back? I guess most coax or auto thread cameras can have a digital back made. This sort of reminds me of a hasleblad system, where you can use 65mm film, 120 film, 220 film and a digital back...
