I hate to say it, but I used to think THE BEST version of this was by Patti LaBelle (@ the Apollo). I can NOW see how Patti was inspired by Timi. The version here is spectacular!

Spectacular. What a voice. Elvis was once asked what female singer impressed him -- he said Timi Yuro. What a pairing they would have been on stage. This performance of "You'll Never Walk Alone," is stunning. If I worked for PBS I would try to acquire the rights to that 1982 Dutch TV show & show it to America. What young female, American Idol contender wouldn't be stirred by Timi's vocals & perfromance? No vocal gymnastics here. Just power, conviction and soul of the highest order.
