Students at Columneetza Secondary School in Williams Lake, BC who planned several events during Anti-Homophobia week are facing a homophobic backlash from the school district and parents who don't want to promote "gayness."

I agree with you. It's kind of ironic that anti-homophobia week, geared towards stopping discrimination, should face discrimination.

The reality is that parents and administrators who oppose it, won't reveal the real reasons they're opposed for fear of being exposed as cowards and bigots and face the possibility of human rights complaints.
