that didn't work on my g4. i'll try it on my imac g3

i just got hardy up on my powerbook G4 titanium, the live CD worked ok, when you get to the yaboot screen and it says "the default option is 'live' etc etc" at the command line I typed in 'live video=ofonly' and it worked fine

you had to use penguinppc to get it on G4? Btw, what is the difference for intel and g4?? Dont you need to test it with Damnsmalllinux?

Dont use the live disk, ive never gotten that to work on ANY power pc machine. Get the power pc alt install cd, it goes smoothly.

I installed Ubuntu 7.04 (Feisty Fawn) off the live CD with no problems at all. Gusty Live cd's have yet to work on all of my macs. But 7.04 is fine.
