@OldFartKeyWester Your companion default isaggressive. If you don't want Khem engaging targets on his own, click his "passive" skill. He will then follow you 'til ordered to attack.

I suggest instead of flaming Rydar, those with more advanced knowledge of the way MMO games work simply inform him of some things. PM him a brief explanation of agro, kiting, training, AOE, DPS, Crafting etc. Please don't just slam him in comments because he does not know all of these things on his first play of one. Every single one of us has been an utter noob at some game in our lives (and likely more than once!)

@TheKronikush This is getting more than a little tiresome, people! Is it free to play? Is it an MMORPG? Do you need an account? Do you need to be on the web (!?). For Christ's (or whatever deity to whose belief system you subscribe - if any) sake, does nobody actually look up these things which are readily available from any search engine! Jeeze!
