@kev42o97 a few minor corrections.
It was the Romans who killed Jesus. Pontius Pilate asked the crowd what to do with Him. It's doubtful the crowd was made up of Jews, because they were cheering for Him just a few days before, but was mostly Romans. They were not Catholic. There were no Catholics at the time, they were pagans. The Bible doesn't tell us non Jews are not important, they were just not important to the story.
