'Millennials; Friend or Foe?'
Christie McGuire gave this speech for her Speaking of Visions Toastmasters club February 9, 2010,
and actually won 'Best Speech' for it
It was Speech #3 in the Competent Communicator manual, "Get to the Point" and was only alloted 5-7 minutes.
Although she stayed within the alloted time, at 5:59 she was strongly encouraged to end her reliance on notes, and to begin memorizing. Noting that the best and most effective speakers are those who do not use notes...
practice makes perfect

  • she should without the notes!

  • This is a wonderful speech. The voice and appearance are great and the speaker is so so beautiful. She can do a very much better if she speaks with less notes. Nevertheless, I love her and her speech.
