  • Sorry, but I don't find the rewriting of Deadeye's line to be any better than the original; quite the contrary.

    And where is the dancing?

  • That wasn't a re-write, that was the original, *before* the rewriting. Honest.

  • In the operetta they are supposed to sing from the page as Sir Joseph Porter was supposed to give them the song he wrote, it is scripted.

  • Yes, the song sheets were props. I don't remember if the song was printed on them or not (I'm the tall guy on the right) -- I hardly glanced at the thing except to appear as if reading.

  • Don't sing this anywhere near androids.

  • Sallah's song :)

  • @dkupke: Classic blooper!!

  • We did a production of the HMS Pinafore for my high school musical one year. The guy playing Dick Deadeye switched his path from one eye to the next each time he went on stage.

  • "prepare the docking clamps"

  • Good performance but super confusing when they are singing different lines across each other, if that's how it's meant to be done it must be pretty difficult to make it sound good.

  • @zogworth His accent morphed from being Scotty from Star Trek to being Irish. Fail! :)

  • @Niiauyr I was wondering that? Why is dick deadeye pretending to be Irish?

  • Thumbs up if you found your way here because of Sallah in "Raiders of the Lost Ark." :)

  • Well, the singing was pretty good, but it could have been a bit more lively, perhaps with some dancing. ^_^
