Buckeye Boy has a point.. this is politicizing an event that usually is about innocent fun and football. Those who disagree with this display of relishing in the death of an enemy (i.e. liberals), might be put off of participating in future mirror lake jumps. My point is that it kind of creates a new association with the tradition of jumping in mirror lake, changing what it's about...

@buckeyeboy321 No, but I do know what patriotism is, and I know that the death of Osama Bin Laden is bigger than Mirror Lake jump. I know that the sacrifice of the men and women abroad make our jump in November possible. And what do you think of the traditions during the football games? Does singing the national anthem or a flyover before the game degrade the tradition of winning at Ohio State? No. So how does our public demonstration degrade what will happen every late November.
