Hey, just wanted to know if you can plug the TASCAM-428 straight into your computer with a USB cable or do you need the power cord?

So is the software you're using the one that comes with the Tascam US-428?

If so, does it accept VST plugins and effects please?

I must confess I find Ableton a bit tempermental, which is why I'm looking at some more reliable hardware options.

@SONGSTICKS I was using Cubase. It is not an option. I have not used the Ableton. So I do not know. Sorry.

I watched all your video clips which are amazing. I have a serious problem with latency. Would you describe your computer's specification such as processor speed, memory size, memory speed? I am using Windows 7.

Unfortunately I sold my US-428 only because recalling the levels when changing banks was a nightare. If it had motorised faders would have bee perfect, but for the price I see when it's not included! Fantastic Job as usual!!
