Marc's routine seems a bit dated by the late '70s. The camp thing seems a little out of place with the punk thing happening. It was good that he went against the grain.
-
Looks like he's on drugs hahaha. But who cares! :]
-
Good, but not that rare. it's on the Marc TV shows DVD.
-
Is the Marc show available on DVD- complete series? I've only seen the bits and pieces, but would love to have every juicy Marc moment!
Happy Birthday, Marc. Forever 29, Forever Beautiful, and Forever Missed....

@LinuxGeeksRock I swear there's a demo somewhere on youtube where he uses T-Rex nights in the first verse, and I later realised that Cocaine comes in on the second verse. So I suppose technically both are right.
-
@justnicknet I've always understood--and everything I can find online reaffirms this--that the original phrase was "cocaine nights," changed to "T.Rex nights" both on TV and on the single. Apparently, it was too risque and/or offensive to say COCAINE! *shock*
-
@LinuxGeeksRock It was actually T-Rex nights first. Once upon a time.
-
Funny how he had to substitute "T Rex nights" for the real lyrics. Ah, British TV in the '70s!
chanteleigh, you're so right--Marc looked great in fuchsia. But then he was hot no matter WHAT he was wearing!

I loved Marc Bolan when I was a kid, and was so shocked and saddened when he died. It's great to see videos of him again. Thanks so much for posting this!

Most definitely. Absolutely the most unique man I think I've ever seen. He was constantly evolving and improving. I can only imagine the masterpieces he might have turned out. Maybe we would have even seen him write that rock opera after all....R.I.P. beautiful boy, the world is forever a little less bright without you.
