Hes one of my alltime favorites him and keyshawn. and there both retiring :( It seemed like this would never happen because he played almost every game every year. Im gonna miss watchin him play but at leastwe still have Leon
I can't believe there is no one else making a tribute to Curtis Martin. Its a shock to me. There should be more than this person posting a Curtis Martin tribute video. There are alot of Jets fans that have Youtube accounts and I don't understand why they won't post a video remembering Curtis Martin. Now come on, I see people post a video clip of Jay Cutler, why not Curtis Martin. Martin is way better than Cutler when it comes to football.
I respected Curtis Marin as a player and a man. He was a tough runningback who always took the big hits from defenses and never complained. He never gave up and wanted to do all that he could for his team. He never complained about anything and did what he was supposed to do even through the bad seasons. I remember several memories of Martin and very special ones to me. He will be sadly missed by the NFL and the Jets. Thanks for the memories Curtis.
Curtis Martin was a guy who was an unsung hero. He was the ultimate runningback. He was always quiet, and was hardly never talking to the press. He is now the last old veteran runningback to retire and wanted to prove all the naysayers wrong when people would say he's not good enough or whatever. He was a guy that had the NFL's best personality even though he was quiet I think. He was my favorite player on the Jets and in the NFL when he was around.
It's sad that Curtis Martin had to retire. He was a great consistant runningback. He never fumbled and Jets fans are going to miss him not being with the Jets anymore. He was not just an ordinary runningback. Its a shame too because he would have broken Barry Sanders record, Emmitt Smith's record, and Walter Peyton's records. He is still in great shape for his age and could come back to the NFL if he wanted to. I always watch Jets games to watch Curtis Martin running the ball.
It's amazing how he was so beastly and he didnt play organized football until his senior year in high school!!!

This guy diserves all the respect from the Jets fans and the NFL. He really does.
