In Nepal, a Hindu festival calls for a mass animal sacrifice. Some 200,000 buffaloes, goats and chickens will be killed as art of the blood-soaked festival held every five years to honor a Hindu goddess of power. (Nov. 25))

Man is not a lion. Men are no longer hunter gatherers and do not need to kill other animals to survive. Man should be beyond that now. It is strange that humans vary from the likes of Tibetan monks or Gandhi down to the lowest form of human, lower and more evil than any beast.

This vile mess of a planet where one species in some cases has no option but to kill and eat another is horrible. If a god of some sort created this then it must be an evil one. Man is supposed to be the most intelligent and civilised of the species but instead is often the vilest to fellow humans and beasts. Man is no longer a stone age cave dweller. It is time mankind stopped slaughtering other animals certainly for purposes of worshipping some non-existant 'god' and even for food.
