  • can i ask a ball park figure on build cost of that motor.. my hr ute has a reco 202 and extractors, i got the twin carb manifold just wanna know if i should work the 202 or do a 308 conversion???????? thanks bloke.

  • we have just built a new red 202 engine for it and we used the same head and cam and we spent 6,000 on parts so i supose 10,000 might pull it up but that would only be the engine.then you would need induction, ignition, etc

    Thanks Hayden

    Thanks Hayden

  • Koala486,

    our best 60ft is 1.712

    1/8 mile 8.135 @84.270 mph

we have only raced at our local drag strip @ benaraby as it is about 20miniuts drive down the road.people keep telling us to take it to willowbank but we would rather take it to an event like powercruise as we took it to summernats a few years back.

    Thanks Hayden

  • Times?

  • the lc is full weight flat tappet cam and have run 12.79 @ 105.38mph on pump fuel(webers) and we have ran 12.83 @ 107.14mph on alchol(675cfm demon, dr, rs) off the trailer untuned once then we lost oil pressure and ended up with no6 rod completly disconnected and laying in bottom of sump.

    Thanks Hayden

  • 12.2 @ 109.

adding a redline weber manifold and 40mm chokes so 12 flat next time out would be nice

  • @koala486 wats his record mate? and both of ur cars are quick very fucking quick. my torana did a 14.7 the other week it was my first time i hope i can get it a bit lower to like a 14.2 maybe

  • which drag strip is dis?

  • thats an awesome time for that car man

  • Wats your best 60ft time? Looks like it gets off the line real quick.

  • Nice times.

We have a FJ Holden named 'Green's Nice' powered by a 202.

We ran a 12.75 @ 106mph bout half a year ago and since we have fully rebuilt the engine, added a mallory coil, roller cam, tuned and dropped 80kgs so we are hoping for a flat 12 at the minimum. You may not have heard of him but we are chasing down Ron Harrops record.
