Secular Humanism is dedicated to "deploring efforts to denigrate human intelligence that seek to explain the world in supernatural terms, and who look outside nature for salvation." Dr. Noelle has been actively involved in Secular Humanism since 1988. Host is Pittsburgh Theosophical Society President Andy Nesky.

Alright, so we've established that killing children is bad. Now you have to face a simple fact: Some of the firstborns that were killed were children. The only qualification for being "firstborn" is to be male, and to be the first one conceived. There is no minimum age. God didn't say, "Every first born son above the age of 18 will die". He said "Every first born son in Egypt will die." The pharaoh's son died, and he was a child. God killed children, dude. Face it.

  • @SirKickz are you serious?? it states in the bible "Firstborn sons"((MEN WHO WERE FIRST CONCEIVED BY THEIR PARENTS))).you made an assertion that the angel of death killed children and since the bible stated "First born" then that would make your question insignificant and incompatible to the argument at hand. But even though your question doesn't require an answer,i will still respond.A human being who kills a innocent human being is considered to be a immoral act.

I'm not mistaking anything, and you know it. I'm not avoiding the rest of the scenario, but rather getting to the heart of the matter. We can debate about the circumstances of the scenario after we establish this core, moral concept. Now stop weaseling your way around my question and answer it. Do you, or do you not, think that there exists any possible circumstance in which killing a human child is a moral thing to do?

  • @SirKickz first and foremost i believe you have mistaken the association between "firstborn son" with "children" lol, besides how do you expect me to answer that when you are avoiding everything in the scenario and you are forgetting that there were nine plagues leading up to the angel of death and if i haven't mentioned already children of Israel had to take the blood of the lamb and put it on the sides and tops of the doorframes of their houses so the angel of death would pass over

  • @TheBusinessisgood

You didn't answer my question. Do you think there is exists a circumstance in which killing a human child is the morally right thing to do?

  • @SirKickz The verse i previously posted is a summery of karma,If you think about it the Egyptians engaged and relied on slavery(a immoral act) for their well being and its suffice to say that they dug their own grave.

  • @SirKickz i dont know if it has ever occurred to you but pharoah didnt worship nor did he even acknowledge God(even if God given his higher insight to Pharaoh he still would have disregarded it)And as far as the Egyptian economy is concerned..here is a verse that reflects on pharaoh and his 4 hundred year proceeding of slavery "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap"....(to be continued)

  • @TheBusinessisgood

Of course I'm refuting your points. I'm refuting them because they're ridiculous. You speak of moral rights and moral wrongs, so my question is this: Is there any imaginable circumstance, at all, that makes the killing of a human child a morally right thing to do? See, I don't know what your answer is, but I say, "fuck no!" Child murder is THE most morally evil, cruel, and revolting crime anyone can commit. There is nothing that can justify it.

  • @SirKickz Lets put this into perspective, what if you and your ancestors were enslaved, abused and murdered for 4 hundred constant years and your fate and freedom relied on a selfish arrogant ruler such as pharaoh. The Pharaoh could have simply put his pride aside and let the children of Israel go bet he remained a evil being thus him and his people suffered for his iniquity....

  • @SirKickz i find it extremely ridiculous that you are deliberately ignoring and refuting everything i mentioned previously. Its very obvious that you do not understand anything pertaining to ethics. If that is your supporting argument (which by the way is very insignificant) then i would advise you to re evaluate what is morally right and what is morally wrong-
