(Three days later.)

"How was orientation?" I asked Tim, setting down Connor's bottle he just finished, on the coffee table and adjusted him on me so that I was ready to burp him. Tim leaned down to peck me on the lips softly before sitting beside me on the couch.

"It was good, I met the coach and some professors and other Freshmen." He said softly.

"Well, I'm glad you liked it." I replied. Tim put his hands out.

"You've been taking care of him all day, let me." He instructed.

"Are you sure? You must be exhausted." I assumed.

"Nah, it's alright." I placed Connor in Tim's hands and smiled to myself at how great Tim was with him. He was such an amazing father, since the day he was born he helped out with him whenever he could, even though I knew he was stressed and busy and something was bothering him...but he always told me everything was okay. I was starting to think that might not be the truth.

"I'm going to shower while you have him, kay?" I asked.

"Sure, babe." I leaned over and pressed my lips to his for a moment before pulling away with a smile. "Have I told you today that I love you?" He asked me.

"Not since this morning." I said.

"Well. I love you."

"You too, Timothy." We kissed one more time before I went into our bedroom to change and shower. When I finished I wrapped my hair into a towel while I changed into a pair of Tim's navy and red plaid boxers and one of my white tank tops. I peaked into Connor's bedroom to find him fast asleep in his crib, I kissed his small forehead and whispered goodnight, "Love you, little man." When I entered the living room Tim was putting the phone in the receiver like he had just finished a phone call. "Who was that?" I asked, running a brush through my wet hair.

"We need to talk, Lys." He told me. I sat beside him and took his hand in my lap, running my fingers across it in circular motions.

"Okay, what's up?"

"That was my mother."

"Is everything okay?" I asked, concerned.

"Yes..I mean..no. I'm not speaking to her right now." I narrowed my eyebrows at him and he continued. "She lied to me. She said my father left me because he didn't want me, but he did Alyssa! My mom wouldn't let him see me so he stayed in Brighton to see me from afar...Mr. Phillips is my dad...and Tyler is my half-brother." My eyes widened as my breath caught in my throat. Oh my God.
