@PaidInBoredom It's about the holocaust. The Auschwitz concentration camp has a motto at the front gate, "Work Makes You Free." Half the lyrics make no sense if it's about the daily grind.

i don't think this is actually about the holocaust, i think the singer is using it as a metaphor for a boring grind of a life and a broken heart. but hey thats just my opinion man
