A beautiful song and a beautiful singer....thanks for sharing catman..I have this by Frank and Keely's version is just as wonderful...I'll find it somehow on vinyl..you most definitely have soul..thanks again
The injun has a great set of pipes.....and a matching personality. I watched her on April 24 or 25 (whichever was Sunday) at the jazz tent during the 2010 New Orleans Jazz festival. She sang and kibitzed for an HOUR! It was wonderful. She has put on a bit of weight but actually looked pretty good. Had a lot of energy. She is scheduled to appear at the Cerritos center, Cerritos, Calif on Feb 13, 2011. Everybody in SoCal should go.....and watch musical history/magic being made.

Did you hear her version of "i'll walk alone" By Dinah Shore
chrisbfuturegirl 2 years ago
No I had not heard Dinah Shore's version. I noticed that the song was recorded a cappella. At that time (1944) there was a ban on all commercial recording by members of the American Federation of Musicians. Using vocal accompaniment allowed the record companies to get around the ban. Thanks for recommending it.
