  • The thing with that L03 is it is basically the silverado engine. It is low on horsepower and high on torque. All the power if focused down low in the rpms. It had 195hp and 255tq stock. I focused all of my power where it already is, down low, under 3500rpm.It will light the tires up without any hesitation! Just let off the clutch normally, start rolling and then stomp it! Instant smoke and not from the exhaust either! :)

  • It's an L03 TBI! I've done exhaust, intake, air, port and polish to those damned choking swirl ports, and have played A LOT with the timing. Advanced it upwards to 8-10 degrees at idle and WITHOUT ping at WOT! MSD wires, cap & rotor and bumped the coil pack from 30,000 volts to over 55,000 volts. ACDelco Iridium plugs (had NGK Copper, but the fuel mixture and timing killed them too quickly) and I'm running 93 octane fuel with up to about 15% nitromethane mixture! I'm putting down around 400tq!

  • mudflaps on a camaro only means one thing your definatley a country person

  • Not necessarily. I've lived in the country before, but mostly in the city. Currently I live in the city. The flaps were on the car when I bought it. Plus, I know several guys that have show quality third gens to SEMA quality that have mudflaps on them. Biggest reason I kept them on there... cleanliness! ;) Makes rubber cleanup A LOT easier!!! haha

  • hey where did you get those mudflaps from?

  • Those were on there when I bought the car, and I didn't even think to ask the guy selling the car. They do help in keeping tire "shrapnel" from sticking to the rear bumper cover! :)

  • @ChevyGuy4762 my rear bumper cover is covered in a layer of burnout rubber fenders are packed oh well

  • There's water in my right ear.

Great sounds in my left ear :D

  • @wheeler8801 hahaha nice but what he said made sense if you have mudflaps and you burn rubber not too much of it would get on the paint not a bad idea its better than the tape people use at the track

  • @bigenginesismythang country people dont use mudflaps, we like to sling the mud around even in our cars

  • put it this way my friend has a 85 camaro with a 5.0 ltr H.O. right now. carb n all. i roc werent the only ones with H.O. and mudflaps came on a lot of muscle back in the day. stop associating that shit with ''country redneck cousin fuckers'' ignorant children.

  • I had flaps on my 92 305tbi convertible bird, and still have them on my 79 t/a. it was just a common accessory back in the day

  • wear that rubber on your quarter panels with pride, mud flaps on an iroc?!?!?come on. and im sorry but dude, an intake and shorties will probably only give you an gain of (maybe if your lucky) 20. and if that's a 89 w/ a 305 that means you have the LB9 motor which was 220hp and 290tq. no way you added two things and gained 110tq. (and those stock specs are to the fly too, not to the wheels.) put it on a dyno then throw some numbers. clean looking car though.

  • oh ok i ges but i wasnt serious
