Unfortunately, I was Summer, I ruined an entire year in one boy's life, everything that happened in this film happened with us in real life. I did not watch this film until 3 months after our split. I had not heard of it either until I finally watched it. How I wish I could have treated him differently...sorry.

I have never understood why everyone hate Summer. She liked him very, very much and she could never really let go. Then she fell in love and was too weak to tell him. She wanted what they had to last. I have watched so many people do just the same and when they do it, it's nothing wrong with it

Nearly three years later, and having seen it nearly a hundred times, this still film still makes me cry. In a weirdly good way. Such an amazing film. p.s i'm a dude. mindfuck!

I usually don't like films about romantic love, mostly because they tend to be unrealistic and cliche, but man I love this film so much..The story is so well-written and believable, beautifully shot and edited as well. Oh and the soundtrack man, so good.

Although Summer was (let's face it) a pain in the ass in this movie...I couldn't help but fall in love with Zooey Deschanel. She is beautiful.
