For the first time in the history of the Red Bull Air Race World Championship New York hosts some of the best pilots in the world. A preview of the fifth stop of the 2010 season with Kirby Chambliss, Michael Goulian, Hannes Arch, Paul Bonhomme, Nigel Lamb and Race Director Drew Searle.
We were at the Hospitality Race Club on Sunday (Race Day). Many expected more-than-usual pylon-hits. Surprisingly, or maybe not... there was only one hit at the very end during the final track-run by Hannes Arch.
Met Hannes on Saturday at Linden Airport, NJ and he was very cool! Yes, his accent was a treat to hear in person.
All pilots did well! NYC again next year!
