When Marty first got the chance to record in Dallas, a guy at the recording session wanted Marty to record his songs, but Marty thought his own songs were better and there was a stand off, but Marty wouldn't back down. Marty told his group to pack up their instruments to leave, but the other guy backed down. The waters of the Music industry have always had it's share of sharks and here Marty in 'Georgia Blood' goes to somewhat exorbitant lengths to deal with one!

  • This came out in 1974 CptSato and was the opening track on Marty's 'Good ' Country' album on MCA. I don't think it has ever been on a CD. Marty was disappointed with the sales of that album; he really went out of his way to deliver what was almost a bluegrass sound yet the country music fans didn't buy it in great numbers. Marty considered it his favourite album after the gunfighter ones.

  • @tarquin45 I really like Marty Robbins, but quite frankly, I much prefer more agressive types of country singers like Waylon Jennings or Jerry Lee Lewis! Robbins is very good, but sometimes very boring too!
