Southbound Empties at Grafton, West Virginia

A train of empty SCWX (South Carolina Public Service Authority) hoppers departs from Grafton, West Virginia, and heads south along the Appalachian and Ohio (former B&O Cowen Sub) on May 17, 2009. CSX power, such as ES44AC's #852 and #799 are often seen on A&O trains.

After departing Grafton, the train meets a loaded northbound coal drag at Liberty Street and crosses the huge Pleasant Valley Bridge.

Looks like the northbound came from Alexander - Beech Mountain & Carter-Roag - Their loads are always mixed CSX & ex NYC.
