  • Looks interesting but I'd like to see more evidence that an airbag jacket has any more real effectiveness vs. regular leathers or textile jackets.

  • Quite easy, try to let you fall back on an air matrass and then do the same without the matrass but with a leather jacket.

If you can still walk try the second test, inflate a 15cm diameter tube at 1.35 Bars around your neck under your helmet and ask you friend to jerk violently your head side way or backward, then do the same without the tube.

  • Does anybody know why there is so much resistance for the motorcycle airbag jackets? Because I think that it might be a pretty good invention that can save many riders?

  • Fatal motorcycle accident *clap clap clap clap*

  • lol, dont you hate it when you crash into a big 4x4 carrying loads of boxes on the one side.

  • thats not true: Most bikers actually come off due to drivers that cut across their path in urban areas, when biker has ride of way and is riding correctly. Only a small minority of accidents are due to riders doing what you say they do.

You could argue its not the drivers fault because bikes are hard to see and you cant stop everyone driving unless they are fit to fly a fighter jet, so people will find bikes hard to see, but stats dont agree its mostly bikers riding style.

  • Because it lacks one of the main advantages of standard leathers.. the ability to slow a rider sliding along the ground. Any accident at speed will more than likely result in the rider taking far longer to stop, greatly increasing the risk of hitting something other than just the ground, which is what is likely to cause the serious injuries.

  • they are good, but every time something comes out a bunch of people say they should be compulsary. At 500 a time, thats a serious brick wall in the way of many new young (and often low income) riders, who are just starting out. I'd buy on of these though, but i will wait till the internet is full of reviews.

  • so does this thing inflate on leaving the bike, or does it need to be inflaited before riding on the bike?

  • good one
