@misterMK4. Btw you can usually check the ballast by take a good bulb & plugging it into the bad side. If it fires up your bulb is bad. If you've light won't come on your ballast may be shot. When ur light went out did it change color, flicker & go out. For a bit I could turn the switch off tgeb back on & it would come on. That only lasted a few times.

@misterMK4 they charged me $100 a piece & they were exact brand as oem. U can get then online for cheaper, but I was in a rush cause I had to drive across the state in the dark. I ordered then from online w/ 2 day shipping & they never came so i cancelled that.

@misterMK4. You can replace just the bulbs on the IS. I just did it on my 02'. The bulb is D2S I believe. I had to buy a set of them because the old one had color shifted. I found them at advance auto parts.

can u replace hid on a lexus is300 factory hid??cuz some say u cant and some say u can..so i dont know...if i do replace it do i have to change the whole kit ballast etc..too..or just the bulb?? thank you
