An estimated 23,000 children in the Greater Dayton Region in Ohio cant afford basic educational supplies, such as pencils, notebooks and crayons. To help fill this gap in the community, The Dayton Foundation, as the regions community foundation, helped initiate and support the creation of Crayons to Classrooms. This program is Daytons first free resource center that provides teachers with some of the basic tools that every child should have if they are to have the opportunity to succeed today and in the future. This film documents Crayons to Classrooms opening day and the impact the program has on the first teachers to walk through its doors. Information about how one might contribute to the cause also is included. This film is created by Chris Smith for DesignTech Group. For film production, please contact csmith@designtechgroup.com for information.
