*A few hours later. Inside Joe's room*

Demi - (tears are about to fall) Joe please wake up. I'm so sorry. I know this is all my fault. I hope one day you can forgive me. (phone rings) Hello?

Selena - Demi. Are you ok? Talk to me.

Demi - Hey Sel. Thanks for calling. Well I guess you already heard what happened. Sel, this is all my fault. Everything. I'm the reason why Joe got into an accident. I'm the reason why we almost lost him. TWICE! I don't deserve to live.

Selena - Don't say that. Listen, things happen for a reason.

Demi - And what's the reason behind all of this?

Selena - I don't know yet, but I'll figure it out. Can I talk to Nick please?

Demi - Sure. (stands up and is about to leave but she was pulled back. Demi turns around and sees Joe awake. She looks down thinking about everything she's done. She let's go of Joe's hand and runs out. Starts crying. Gives the phone to Nick.)

Nick - Hello?

Selena - Baby!

Nick - Hey Sel. Umm what's wrong with Demi?

Selena - She's blaming herself for everything that happened. Make sure she doesn't do anything to hurt herself ok?

Nick - I promise. She's crying right now. She ran out of Joe's room.

Selena - Can I talk to her again?

Nick - Sure. I'm gonna go inside Joe's room. (gives the phone to Demi and goes inside)

Demi - Hello?

Selena - Dems what happened?

Demi - Well before I left the room Joe woke up and I looked at him and remembered the things that's been happening and I just felt so bad. Sel, what do I do? Everytime I talk to him something bad ends up happening. I dont want anything to happen anymore.

Selena - Calm down Dems. Stay home for a few days and go see him when you're ready.

*Inside*

Nick - Joe buddy! You're ok!

Joe - What happened? Why did Demi run out like that? What did I do?

Nick - Well you got into an accident. We almost lost you but you came back and Demi said you passed out.

Joe - Woah. Is she mad at me?

Nick - No.

Joe - Then why'd she run away like that.

Nick - Don't you remember anything?

Joe - The last thing I remember was that I was walking.

Nick - Hmm. Ok. Wait. Joe who's your girlfriend?

Joe - Demi?

Nick - WOOH! YES! You're back!

Joe - What's wrong with you?

Nick - Well the last time, you thought Taylor was still your girlfriend. You even called her. You said Demi was your girlfriend right?

Joe - Yeah?

Nick - Yikes. Umm. Joe.

Joe - What?

Nick - Nothing, Demi should talk to you.

Joe - ABOUT?!

Nick - She'll tell you all about it. I'll go get her for you. (Nick leaves and goes outside.) Demi. (He sees no one. He calls Demi on her phone.) Come on Dems. Pick up your phone.

Demi - Hello Nick?

Nick - Where'd you go? You gotta talk to him Dems.

Demi - Not now Nick. Maybe later.

Nick - How soon is later?

Demi - A couple of days.

Nick - Why?

Demi - I just can't talk right now Nick.

*A few days later. At Demi's house*

Demi - Mom can I please?

Mrs. Lovato - Are you sure you want to? Did you talk to her yet?

Demi - Yeah yeah. Everything's already planned out mom.

Mrs. Lovato - Ok, sweetie if this is what you want.

Demi - Thank you so much mom. *doorbell rings* I'll get it. (opens the door) What are you doing here?
