From the people who brought us Train Festival 2009 and the upcoming Train Festival 2011, West Virginia Rails 2010 was a mini festival hosted on the South Branch Valley Railroad in Petersburg, WV. It featured two 0-4-0's, the well traveled Flagg Coal 75 and New Hope Valley 17 which returned to West Virginia for the first time in well over 10 years (formerly owned by the now defunct West Virginia Northern). Also featured were the colorful diesels of the South Branch Valley, Potomac Eagle, and Western Maryland Scenic. In this video, you'll see a glimpse of the train operations at the event including the long trips between Romney and Petersburg and the short local trips out of Petersburg.
