The landing gear may not have retracted (properly) after take-off. That's why the pilots requested to go back to the field. Good job on the pilots!

@bigpuck10 Landing gear troubles. It was deployed, but they had some kind of warning.

When you know that there is at least a reasonable chance that you might be at the bottom of a smoking hole in a few minutes you might as well use up whatever humor you have.
I hope I can be that cool when it's my turn to be splashed all over the countryside.
This was probably an "Indicated" emergency and not something that was about to set the cockpit on fire.
If this guy was in real trouble it would have sounded different....trust me.
