  • @crumblyfairy I spray with pastel fixing spray. The paper is heavy duty watercolour paper (NOT). So spraying will push some of the pastel down into the grain of the paper and expose more of the underpainting. This means you can control the variation of different colours visible through the pastel to some extent by spraying more or less before the spray dries.
