I have a ball from the last game in the stadium. i was a really young girl Still in good shape, Signed by 27 Frank Catalanotto. I got to go down in the field. And during the game, i got to go up in the Room where Ernie Harwell was at. :D I will never forget that. Altho i was way to shy to talk my dad got to meet him with him.

@obc1500 ..You got that right. I'll never forget my first time seeing the green grass and stands and my heros in 1962. Larger than life. I'll never set foot in Comerica, or listen to another game. Baseball is dead for me.

I grew up watching games in the stands at Tiger Stadium with my grandpa (as did my grandpa when he was a kid). I learned virtually everything I know about baseball from Mr. Harwell, while my grandfather was listening to virtually every game. I still remember my first game at tiger stadium with my grandpa, as well as the last. Whenever I heard Ernie on the radio, I was instantly 8 years old again, sitting in the stands with grandpa. All 3 are gone now... baseball isn't the same...
