  • Too long wires from the input jack "hot" center pin and too long conductor

length (over the case sheet metal) from input jack to ground end of the resistors. THIS IS NOT GOOD HF DESIGN, it is only good for DC.

  • hi, you can use your dummy load for more than 20 watts. I made a dummy load with 20 resistors (1k / 20 = 50) smallers than yours and i use it up to 100w in short periodes ofcourse, so your dummy load is best than mine. 73´s

  • Should u fill it with oil or some sort to keep it cooler? Can you make one a bit bigger out of a paint can??

  • you should put some insulation in the tin cause its cheaper for a roll of electrical tape than it would be to replace your output transistors of summat went wrong like dropping it . lmfao n1ger =nigger

  • EastSide

I just used a regular 15/30w iron from RS with a medium tip. I can't remember if I had it on 15 or 30 to get it to work, but I'd guess 30w.

  • Very Cool indeed.

What size/wattage iron/gun did you use to

    solder directly to Altoid tin?

  • You can buy large 50 ohm resistors in holland.

They are gold and have screwholes at each side to screw them on a heatsink.

Maybe a better option then all the little ones in series.
