being a long time Frampton fan, i'm sure despite his personal issues, his musical career could've lasted longer than 1978 if the media wouldn't have made him a teen idol. I'm sure the he would've rocked the 80's hard as hell right along with VH, Rhodes, and Vai.

@kingemerald1 Sometimes it takes an iron fist to protect the artist from record execs. It seems new artists keep repeating and repeating the same old mistakes. I'm thinking particularly of Taylor Hayes, a talented musician, mutated into horrifying manufactured product.
Sometimes I think Jimmy Page ought to write a manual on "How To Prevent Getting Screwed by Big Music".

My favorite song by Frampton, he always try to play it just a little different each time. Classic by a class act.

People like to say we're all the same, but we are not the same.... some are extremely talented and others work bloody hard. Both of these apply to Peter Frampton. Forget the r&r hall of fame - I say the queen should knight the guy! Sir Peter Frampton... hmmm has a nice ring to it

@vanekirk I so wish I had the talent to state that comment as eloquently as you did.
