first thing you need to do is pick up a single pad and practice your diddles A LOT. if you can't play strong diddles on one drum, don't expect to play anything double stroked across multiple drums. and use american grip when playing multi-tenors, that is in between french grip with thumbs up, and german grip with thumbs down. keep drumming :)
