Getting to the new Icecrown Citadel dungeons without a flying mount - WoW PTR

READ THIS.
This video was made back in 2009.
Due to a certain mysterious bug, it was impossible to use flying mounts on PTRs.
At the same time, the patch we were supposed to test contained the new Icecrown 5-man dungeons, and the only way to access those was to fly, or so it seemed.
Blizzard was also in the process of re-designing the dungeon finder, so that didn't work either.
After spending a morning climbing and climbing and doing a few other things (like climbing), however, we finally managed to find a way of getting there with no flying mounts.
The thing is, while your character couldn't mount, your ghost was still on the gryphon. So we had to get as close to the portals as possible, die, fly up there as a ghost, and resurrect.
Getting close enough to be able to resurrect at the second level of the citadel was the hard part.
This video shows how to do it. Obviously not needed anymore. In fact, this video was only useful for about a day.

god what a alot of trouble getting mage/priest

just be pro get to the jump daily in ice crown

jump toward the path that lead toward the rider of unholy die ress up abit on de mountain end run to the first floor of ice crown walk more then half way around and then start mountain climbing took me 20 min the first time can do it now in like 5 min (did it on my DK though )
