In July of this year, David Hayter was kind enough to let me pick his brain for half an hour via telephone about Watchmen, Metal Gear Solid, and becoming a rock star.

Don't feel bad! 4 or 5 years ago, I was right there. The only reason I know what Watchmen is is because of David's involvement. I had no idea it was so important until I started looking it up online, though. There are people who seriously worship that comic!

Hayters great, i think he should definatly write and star in the MGS film as Solid Snake ofc :)

Man, Hayter even looks like Snake. Other than a CGI young-ified Kurt Russel, I don't think there's a better choice to play him.

Kurt Russel would be a good Solid Snake. He actually has played a character known as "Snake Pliskin" in the movie Escape from New York, who was actually a lot like Big Boss and Snake.

dude there's no way he would do that, he actually want's to write the screenplay but kojima wanted someone from holly wood to do it there's actually a petition to get david to do the script

I would love to have a ringtone with Snake's voice! Wonder if that could be arranged? lol hmm well you should get that ringtone and yeah it's gotta be hard to keep focus during this interview. Good job!
