That was VERY funny... terrific humor!

@salvadory thanks- do you have a website or a business- ive watched alot of your vids and if i ever have problems with my synths i wouldnt mind you being the go to guy if you do repairs etc for people-- i ve got a moog prodigy- an arp axxe that could use some work and im not finding too many people in the seattle area who seem to know that much about old analogs- id love to give you some business and cash to get them cleaned up and checked over

@sounddoctorin It would be a more functional synth with regular 6-voice architecture... I'm gonna look into this.
String synthesizers are not synthesizers at all, they all use divide down circuitry like organs. They are essentially organs.

@voltage1a Well it's your authoritative voice vs. the entire industry I guess on that one :-). Synths w/1 or more vco/voice aren't ultimately flexible. They are limited to a preset waveform or crude pwm usually being modified via subtractive synthesis though each vco of course can have pitch mod independently. The dd synths are the same except each 'rank' of 1 or more has a single vco...yet you can mix /synthesize more harmonic arrangements from the keyboard w/full poly. So depends on defin.

how are the crumars to fix- looking into a trilogy and was wondering if parts are replaceable - heard alot of flak about the resin coated board problem- whats you opinion? i

@salvadory I personally haven't had a lot of issues. I mean resin can be removed with a dremel tool etc. if you have to hewn a broken board back together or something. Generally though I find problems with chips going down on trilogy and broken pots and that sort of thing. I'm actually working on a composer right now! Just repaired a few of the pots. The shaft snaps off and i'm building wood dowel replacements which are fine and dandy! :-) Grind them and make a demel wheel cut for the slot!
