In this movie I use my mobile phone (HTC HD2) running on Windows Mobile 6.5. I read from the motion-sensor and translate those to a power for the left and right wheel. Using the bluetooth-connection I continuously send this data to the Lego NXT Mindstorms control-unit.
Next semester I will be student-assistent in the classes for the first-year students. Since I'm a 4th year student I thought I'd create a nice application showing some of the possibilities.
The front wheel is just a little round thingy to minimize friction. There used to be a wheel there but there was some trouble with turning it correctly and quickly enough.
we have to made a Lego nxt car who's steering by himself without bluetooth control but only with touch sensors and he have to ride by himself about a white line with light sensors. and more. i place a video on youtube when he's ready ;)

Is your C# code available anywhere for download? How about the HTC SDK? This is very nice.
As an HTC user I have numerous uses for a Windows Mobile based remote control.
Also, do you reckon you could take the GPS info from the phone and transmit it to the NXT?
